Known as bules or gourds, it is a type of hard-shelled pumpkin that has been used since ancient times. Their technique is called maque and they are decorated in a traditional way with vegetable paints that the same artisans from Olinalá, Guerreromake using chia oil, tecoxtle, calcite, quartz, limestone and natural pigments.
